Application Requirements
Those who aim to be active as male vocalists.
Any nationality are welcomed
  • Applicants who are able to participate in the screening process from the first round onwards.
  • Applicants who are able to appear on TV, web, and other media during the screening process.
  • Applicants must be able to participate in training camps and overseas travel during the screening process.
How to Apply
  • Please use the entry form at the entry button.
  • If you have set the domain specification of the mail address, please make sure to allow @yoshikisuperstar.com to be listed in your e-mail address.

About your video recordings

  • Please be sure to shoot the video so that your facial expressions (your face) can be seen.
  • The use of software or apps to retouch images or modify sounds is strictly prohibited.
  • At the beginning, please introduce yourself and talk about the content of your performance (e.g., song title) framed in a medium close-up (taken from the chest up).
  • Precautions
  • We are committed to properly collect, use and manage personal information in accordance with Personal Information Protection Policy.
  • The portraits recorded or taken during the screening process may be used in various media including TV, magazine, web, etc. related to this audition.
  • Please note in advance that we may use your applied video recordings on our official social medias and other medias.
  • Please note in advance that you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the audition venue, accommodation, and meals.

  • About the application

  • Do you have any restrictions on age, genre and so on?

    No, we don’t have any restrictions.

  • Is there any fee for the screening?

    There is no fee.
    However, you need to pay for your transportation to and from the venue, accommodation fee and also your meals.

  • I don’t have an email address. Can I still apply?

    No you can’t. Successful candidates will be contacted by email only.

  • Can minors apply?

    Yes, only if you have the consent of a guardian.

  • My child is an elementary school student. If he passes the audition, should he prioritize work or school?

    School will be the priority.

  • I’m not Japanese. Can I apply?

    Any nationality is welcome.

  • May I apply if I belong to an agency?

    Yes, you may apply. However, please receive approval from the agency before entering your application. Also, note the name of the agency/person to contact in the "Personal history" section of the entry form.

  • Can I apply as a group, duo, or a band?

    Only individuals are eligible to apply.

  • May I recommend someone other than myself?

    Yes, as long as you have the consent of the person you’re recommending.

  • May I apply using other than my real name?

    The entry must be with your real name.

  • Can I change the content of my application after submitting?

    No, you cannot make any changes or cancel after submitting.

  • May I bring in the application video directly?

    No, we only accept the videos submitted through our website.

  • Can I just paste the URL of the video from my social media?

    You can upload to the “video upload section” of the application form.

  • Can the video exceed the specified length?

    No, please keep your video within the time specified.

  • Can you return the video materials?

    No, we cannot return the materials.

  • I have entered YOSHIKI SUPERSTAR PROJECT X in the past. May I re-enter?

    Yes, you may.

  • About selection and results

  • May I bring someone other than myself to the audition?

  • Can you tell me the details of the screening process?

    Only those passed will be contacted by email.

  • Can you tell me about the result if I contact you?

    We do not accept any inquiries about acceptance or rejection.

  • Application materials and data will not be used for any purpose other than screening.
  • Application materials and data will not be returned.
  • We will not be able to respond to any inquiries regarding the screening process.
  • There is no participation fee or screening fee for the application process.
  • If you are a minor, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to apply.
  • Please send a photo that clearly shows your face (full body).
